FMO X Georgia Cheesman

Our AW2020 collection features the beautiful Eden print, developed in collaboration with Adelaide linoprint artist Georgia Cheesman.

Georgia hand carves highly detailed linoprints of everyday scenes.  Lived-in real-life residental interiors and overgrown lush botanical compositions are dominant subjects in her work.

In the mid 1990s, Georgia completed an Advanced Diploma of Visual Art at North Adelaide School of Art and studied printmaking at Ruth Tuck Art School.  She has exhibited in various group and solo shows and has also taught children and adult classes for over two decades.

Georgia is incredibly passionate about creating linoprints.  Each step is a labor of love - from carving the lino with her collection of Swiss tools; to rolling out the ink over the finely carved surface; and finally pulling the print to reveal the printed image, each unique and handmade from start to finish.

By the way, if you recognise the name there is good reason as Georgia is also part of our FMO team!  She has been working closely with us on these pieces and we're so happy to be sharing her artwork with you.

The Eden print was adapted from Georgia's Sunset linoprint artwork below.  We have also listed some of her other works for sale (scroll down).

Georgia can be contacted directly via her instagram or email (georgia@frockmeout.com.au) to discuss the purchase of these linoprints.
